DETROIT (WWJ) – Michigan State Police on Thursday morning warned drivers to slow down on the freeways, especially in construction zones.

“No matter how fast you drive, Friday will not get here any sooner,” they said in a tweet. “Way too much silliness on our roads the last few years.”

While this wasn't necessarily speeding, someone apparently didn’t get the message about the silliness.

In another tweet Thursday night, MSP says there was an incident “in the top ten” when it comes to silliness.

It happened around 8:20 p.m. on northbound I-75 near Warren and Detroit. Troopers were parked behind a crash when someone threw a glass bottle out of their moving vehicle and hit the patrol car.

MSP says no troopers or those involved in the crash were injured, but there was some minor damage to the vehicle.

It was not clear whether police have a suspect in the incident.
