WOODHAVEN (WWJ) – A student at Anderson High School in Southgate has died after a car crash at a busy intersection in Woodhaven over the weekend.

Jasmine Alhachami, 18, was killed in the crash, which happened shortly after 10 p.m. at the intersection of West and Allen Roads, according to a report from the News-Herald.

Woodhaven police officials say they received multiple calls about the crash shortly after it happened, and officers arrived within minutes.

When authorities showed up, a woman was holding her two dogs outside of her black GMC Terrain, while a Good Samaritan told an officer that four occupants inside a black 2000 Lexus were conscious and breathing, according to the News-Herald.

The officer tended to those victims until emergency vehicles arrived.

Witnesses told police the driver of the black Lexus was headed east on West Road and ran through a red light, into the path of the GMC, which was headed south on Allen.
