FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. (WWJ) – The search is on for a pair of suspects involved in a shooting at a hookah lounge in Farmington Hills early Saturday morning that left two people injured.
The incident unfolded inside the Vibe Hookah Lounge on Northwestern Highway – between Orchard Lake and Middlebelt Roads – around 2 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 29, according to the Farmington Hills Police Department.
The department says a preliminary investigation indicates one suspect gave a gun to another suspect, who physically assaulted and shot the victims inside the lounge.

The two victims, whose identities have not been disclosed, were treated at a hospital for their injuries. No one else was reported injured in the incident.
Police have not said what may have led to the violence, but said they believe it was a “targeted incident.” There was no evidence of any threat to the general public.
The department says it is increasing patrol in the area near the hookah lounge.
Authorities released photos and descriptions of the two suspects in hopes that tips from the community can help the department track them down.
Both suspects are described as black males, approximately 5-foot-10 to 6-feet tall, with athletic builds and medium medium complexion.
Authorities say the shooter has shoulder-length dreadlocks and a beard and mustache.

The other suspect has a “medium length twist out hair style,” according to police.

Farmington Hills Police Chief Jeff King said the investigation is still “very active” and detectives were “continuously developing and receiving new information.”
Anyone who may recognize the pictured suspects or may have witnessed the shooting, or otherwise has any information about the incident is being asked to call the Farmington Hills Police Department’s Command Desk at 248-871-2610.
