TAYLOR (WWJ) -- Police are investigating a possible domestic dispute that led to an incident on Monday where a car crashed into a gas pump and burst into flames in Taylor.
Police received 911 calls at about 4:34 p.m. on Dec. 27 after the crash resulted in a car going up in flames.
According to Taylor Police Lt. Tony Neal, a silver Chevrolet Malibu was travelling north on Telegraph Road when it suddenly veered east and headed directly towards the Citgo gas station and into one of the gas pumps.
Neal said a couple and a 2-year-old child were inside the Malibu during the crash.
Despite the fiery outcome, everyone in the vehicle survived -- Police said a complete disaster was averted by "the grace of god, or luck."
Upon their arrival, police said customers and employees at the station were evacuated and occupants in the vehicles had either been assisted out of their cars or made it out on their own.

On the other side of the gas pump was a red Chevrolet Avail, which had an adult and two juveniles inside.
A witness helped pull one of the juveniles from the vehicle. One person from that vehicle was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
A nearby person suffered minor injuries, but is expected to be okay.
The man and woman in the Malibu are not cooperating, said police.
The couple told police that they both were driving when it slammed into the gas pump and burst into flames.

According to Neal, the man could not explain exactly how the car veered into the pump.
Authorities said that the crash might have been the result of a domestic situation.
The man in the Malibu was arrested, but there are currently no details on why. The investigation is ongoing.
Neal said he doesn’t believe crashing into the station was intentional.
