LIVONIA (WWJ) - Police are searching for multiple suspects that hit neighborhoods in Livonia last week and stole wheels and tires from over a dozen vehicles.
The Livonia Police Department said the thieves struck in the overnight hours between April 18th and the 19th in subdivisions in the area of 5 Mile and Newburgh and 5 Mile and Levan.
According to police, 13 vehicles had their wheels and tires stolen. Residents in the area said the vehicles appeared to be older models and cars that were targeted could be seen up on blocks.
The department said those living in the area posted video from their home surveillance cameras and Ring doorbells to social media, which helped police discover at least two suspects were driving a U-Haul box truck.
No arrests have been made so far, police said, but they are continuing to investigate the incidents.
Anyone who may have seen something suspicious or has information about the crimes have been asked to call Livonia Police at (734) 466-2470.
