
(WWJ) Detroit Police are searching for three suspects wanted for a breaking an entering of a dollar store on the city's east side.
Just before 2 a.m. last Sunday, investigators say the trio busted in the the business, in the 1500 block of E. Lafayette, by using a Ford F-150 and a burgundy Chevy Avalanche to smash their way through the storefront.
Once inside, police said the suspects stole an ATM.
Security footage shows the thieves also tried to steal a safe from the store's office, but weren't able to pick it up.

In another failure, police say the ATM was empty.
The trio fled the area in the same two trucks they used to break in.
As the investigation continues, police are hoping the public can help them to identify the suspects.
Suspect number one is described as having a medium build, and was wearing a dark ski mask, gray sweater with number 23 in white on the left side of hood, black coat, dark gloves, gray jogging pants with white stripes and green lettering and black boots.
Suspect two also had a medium build, and was wearing a black jacket, black jogging pants with white lettering on both sides, black boots, and purple surgical gloves.
Suspect 3 number three had a larder build, and was wearing a black ski mask, white tee shirt, gray sweater, black coat with fur around the hood, white or light colored gloves, black pants, and light colored boots.
