HARRISON TWP. (WWJ) The identities of the victims of a boat fire in Harrison Township last weekend have been released.
Police said a man and woman from Grand Rapids—Jason Miron, 43, and Stephanie Arzola, 41, perished in the fire. Mark Matthews, 60, of North Dakota and his dog also died.
All three were staying last Friday night (July 2 to 3) on Matthews’ 1987 Chris Craft boat at the Fox Marine on South River Road when the fire broke out, police said. Firefighters found their bodies the following morning.
Investigators believe the fire started in the main living area of the cabin on the couch.
At this point, no foul play is suspected.
