DETROIT (WWJ) -- The anonymous tipster who led police to the parents of the alleged Oxford school shooter Ethan Crumbley is eligible to claim $10,000 in reward for the arrest -- possibly up to $20,000.

The U.S. Marshals Service put out posters of James and Jennifer Crumbley on Friday, Dec 3, with a reward of up to $10,000 offered for the arrest of either James or Jennifer Crumbley.

James White, the Detroit Police Department's chief, told the Detroit Free Press that the tip received by authorities qualifies the tipster for the $10,000 reward.

Since the tip resulted in the arrest of both suspects, it's questioned whether the tipster should receive double the reward and bring in $20,000, but White said it's unclear and that it's Oakland County's case.

The tipster noticed the Crumbley's vehicle and had a video of one of the parents entering a warehouse on Detroit's Islandview community on the east side.

Following the tip -- which was made around 10 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 3 -- the police were able to follow up on it and take both parents into custody early Saturday morning.

The Crumbley's entered not-guilty pleas to the four counts of involuntary manslaughter against them during a Zoom hearing.

Judge Julie Nicholson assigned bond of $500,000 apiece to each of the parents and required GPS monitoring if they were to make bond and be released, agreeing with prosecutors that they posed a flight risk.

James and Jennifer are the parents of 15-year-old Ethan Crumbley, the alleged shooter at Oxford High School where four students were killed and six students and a teacher were injured on Nov. 30.
