
PICKFORD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WWJ) - The person of interest in connection to the alleged murder of a 42-year-old woman in the Upper Peninsula was discovered dead in his residence, MSP confirmed.
Michigan Sate Police said 49-year old Jared Woodgate was found deceased by troopers in his home near Sault Ste. Marie. He was wanted for questioning less than 24 hours after troopers were called out to a home at 4284 Clauss Row in Pickford Twp. for a suspected homicide.
Troopers arrived at the home in Chippewa County around 10 p.m. Sunday night and identified the victim as a 42 year-old Melissa Beaudry also of Sault Ste. Marie.

No other information has been made available by police.
