LIVONIA (WWJ) Two men have been arrested for the fatal stabbing of an Oklahoma man at an intersection in Livonia.

The Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office Charges is preparing charges against them in connection to the death of Gabriel Wann, 23, of Commerce, Oklahoma.

Police said Wann was walking in the crosswalk at Middlebelt and Plymouth around 5:30 a.m. May 25, when he exchanged words with the suspects passing in the opposite direction. One of the suspects allegedly stabbed him in the chest. Both ran away.

Wann, who was homeless, died from his injuries.

“(Detectives) conducted an extensive canvass of the Plymouth Road corridor and obtained security camera video from multiple businesses which enabled them to track and identify the suspects, all within 24 hours of the crime,” Livonia Police Chief Curtis Cadd said in a release.

Chief Cadd said the two men were arrested on Sunday without incident. Their names have not been released.
