(WWJ) A 30-year-old Ferndale man is facing a drunken driving charge after witnesses called police to report him.
At around 5:30 p.m. last Wednesday, Troy Police officers responded to reports of an apparently intoxicated driver who'd just left the parking lot of a nearby bar, and had almost crashed into several other vehicles.

One of the drivers who witnessed the alleged incident was able to box the suspect's vehicle in on the roadway, while waiting for police to arrive.
When Troy officers made contact with the driver, they said they noticed he smelled like alcohol was slurring his speech. The man, who told officers he'd just left the bar and was headed home, performed poorly when asked to complete several sobriety tests.
The driver submitted to a breathalyzer test on the scene, which police said showed he had a .311% BAC (blood alcohol content), which is nearly three times the legal limit for driving in Michigan.
The man was arrested and taken to Troy Police Lock-Up, where police said a chemical breath test showed results of .29% and .28%. He's since been charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle with High Blood Alcohol Content. The man's name was not immediately released.
