CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WWJ) -- A man is dead and a woman is in police custody after a stabbing at an apartment complex in Clinton Township early Monday morning.
Clinton Township police were called to the Eastwood Village Apartments near Harper Avenue and 16 Mile Road around 6 a.m. on the report that someone had been stabbed.
When officers arrived, they discovered a male, believed to be in his 20s, who had suffered a single stab wound. The man was taken to McLaren Macomb Hospital in Mt. Clemens, where he was pronounced dead.
Police say a woman who is “a female acquaintance” of the victim was taken into custody and was being held at the Clinton Township Police Department.
Authorities have not released any further information regarding the incident, including a possible motive, or the names and ages of the victim and suspect.
