(WWJ) A woman is dead and a man is under arrest following a shooting Wednesday night at an RV park in Monroe County.
Michigan State Police say it happened around 10:30 p.m. at Shady Creek RV and Park Resort, also known as Camp Lord Willing on Stumpmier Rd. in Frenchtown Twp.
Troopers with the MSP Monroe Post arrived on the scene to find a 35-year-old woman who'd been shot in the face. She was taken to a local hospital where she died, police said.
Police established a perimeter around the area and members of the Michigan State Police K9 Team and Emergency Support Team responded as a search for the shooter began.
But as the investigation was just getting underway, a deputy with he Monroe County Sheriff’s Office located a man walking nearby on Steiner Rd., who was covered in blood.

The man was taken into custody and lodged at the Monroe County Jail.
No names have been released.
Police are still trying to determine what led to the deadly shooting.
