HIGHLAND PARK (WWJ) – A woman is dead after a fight at a strip club in Highland Park overnight turned to gun violence.
Special investigators with the Michigan State Police were called to the Playground strip club at Woodward and Florence around 4 a.m., where a 26-year-old woman was shot and killed.
Officials believe a fight started in the parking lot outside the club, when one or more suspects opened fire.
The victim, whose name was not released, is believed to have been caught in the crossfire of the shooting.
It was not immediately clear what sparked the fight outside the club or whether the woman knew the shooter.
Investigators said early Sunday afternoon they don’t yet have any suspects in the case.
