TRAVERSE CITY (WWJ) -- Officials say "numerous tips" from the public led to the identification of two women who are now facing charges for stealing a Michigan State Police recruiting tent.
The pair was caught on video, shortly after 12:30 a.m. on the Fourth of July, carrying away the tent that has been set up by MSP in downtown Traverse City during the Michigan Cherry Festival.
After the video was released the the public and tips rolled in, MSP said they were able to ID the culprits as 29- year-old Brittany Susan Frick and 26-year-old Allison Taylor Pardo. It was discovered that both women had been living in Kalkaska, but had recently moved.
A report was turned over to the Grand Traverse County Prosecutor’s Office and arrest warrants were issued for Frick and Pardo.

On Aug. 22, troopers from the MSP Cadillac Post went to an address in Rapid City where the women were believed to be staying.
Pardo was at the home when troopers arrived, was informed about the warrant and posted bond. Frick, who was not home at the time, posted bond the next day.
Pardo was arraigned on Monday and Frick on Tuesday in Grand Traverse County's 86th District Court on one count each of misdemeanor larceny - $200 or more but less than $1,000.
"We want to thank everyone who helped solve this crime and we appreciate the continued support from the community," MSP said, in a media release.
Police said the stolen tent has been recovered.
