(WWJ) – Driving recklessly can always have consequences, but those consequences are amplified in work zones. It can lead to fines, prison time, injuries to drivers and road workers, and sometimes even death.

It's National Work Zone Awareness Week — an attempt to raise awareness for, and prevent, reckless driving through areas with roadwork.

On this Daily J podcast, WWJ's Brian Fisher explores the consequences of recklessness in work zones, and whether proposed legislation in Michigan could help prevent injury or death.
