DETROIT (WWJ) A young woman lost her life in a drive-by shooting in Detroit this Memorial Day weekend.
Police say the victim, 26, was a passenger in a Chevy Malibu when unknown suspects in another vehicle fired multiple shots, striking her. It happened around 4:20 p.m. Saturday in the area of Mt. Elliot and Davison.
She was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. She passed away shortly thereafter.
No description of the suspects was given, except that they drove a “black truck or SUV.” The motive or whether they knew the victim remains unclear.
She has not been identified.
