A Florida woman was arrested last Monday after she allegedly used her handgun to shoot and kill her family’s parrot after getting into a drunken fight with her husband.

The details of the arrest were laid out in an affidavit obtained by WGN9, which shared that Suzanne Mulalley, 61, and Steven Mulalley, 66, were arrested by Largo police.

The affidavit shared that police alleged the couple was drunk and in an argument with one another when things escalated, and Suzanne Mulalley used her .380 Glock to shoot their parrot inside their home.

Police said the couple then walked outside and pushed each other before Suzanne Mulalley began spraying her husband with water from a spray bottle.

The encounter was seen by a witness who provided the authorities with a written statement of what they saw.

According to the affidavit, the couple has denied committing any crimes.

Suzanne Mulalley is not facing any charges for the alleged shooting death of the bird, though she is facing the domestic battery charge, Fox News reported.

The affidavit noted that there was a stipulation for her release, stating that she is to have “no contact [with] animals,” her husband, or firearms.
