A man accused of firing a gun inside a mall arcade in North Carolina, sparking reports of an active shooter, was taken into custody early Wednesday morning.
The incident unfolded around 1:30 a.m. at Round 1 Bowling and Amusement, located inside the Four Seasons Town Centre in Greensboro, WGHP reported.
Officers responded to reports of an active shooter situation and were told that the suspect -- later identified as 26-year-old Guiliano Salvatore Anthony Postek -- entered the arcade and fired a gun, according to WFMY.
As several officers went inside the business, Postek was observed trying to flee from the scene in a white SUV. He crashed into a parking blockade and was taken into custody.
Postek was transported to the hospital after officers suspected he may have been under the influence of narcotics.
No injuries were reported.
Postek is now facing a slew of charges, including discharging a firearm within an enclosure to incite fear, going armed to the terror of the public, assault with a deadly weapon, reckless driving and possession of marijuana, WGHP reported.
