Derek Stingley Jr. was one of the most intriguing cornerback prospects since his freshman All-American and title-winning season at LSU, but injuries have limited the Tigers star each of the past two years.

Stingley was the first cornerback off the board and the third consecutive defensive player at the top of the draft following Georgia's Travon Walker to the Jaguars and Michigan's Aidan Hutchinson to the Lions. He'll add an elite cover-corner skillset in the Houston secondary. Stingley logged 38 tackles, 15 passes defensed and 6 interceptions as a freshman, both only logged 35 total tackles and 5 passes defensed across 11 games in his sophomore and junior seasons.
