LSU fans will get an early start on the Tigers first series of Southeastern Conference play at Alex Box Stadium this weekend.
Game 1 of the series between No. 1 LSU and No. 6 Arkansas has been moved up to a noon first pitch (central) due to the threat of inclement weather. The game was originally scheduled for a 7 p.m. first pitch.

TV coverage for the game is still to be announced. LSU officials said they will continue to monitor for whether any changes need to be made to the Saturday and/or Sunday start times, which are currently set for 1 p.m. and noon, respectively.
The weekend's series marks one of the first true tests of the season for the top-ranked Tigers, who enter with an identical 19-2 record as the Razorbacks. The Tigers opened their SEC slate with two wins and a loss to Texas A&M, while the Razorbacks swept Auburn to claim an early lead in the SEC West.
