The Tigers are massive underdogs to Georgia in the SEC championship game this weekend, 17.5 point underdogs to be exact.

I think we can all understand why. LSU is 9-3 this season and Georgia is the defending National Champs, the top team in the country and unbeaten at 12-0.

Georgia is the best team in the country, hands down. Still, that doesn't mean they are unbeatable. Let me go ahead and make it clear: I don't expect LSU to beat Georgia. I do, however, think it will be a better game than oddsmakers are forecasting. What gives me this confidence? It's the SEC championship game! The spread is the highest in recent memory in a Southeastern Conference championship game. So what?

Let's have this conversation: Who has more on the line, Georgia or LSU? Clearly UGA has all the pressure. The No. 1 team in the country, winners of 24 straight regular season games and reigning National Champs.  What's the expectation for LSU? Uh, Nothing! Well, nothing other than to lose by three scores. LSU can play footloose and fancy free.

Brian Kelly is reminding his team leading up to this matchup: "Nobody thinks you can even come close to beating Georgia." I think that matters to the Bayou Bengals. Not to mention, I think the purple and gold have a bitter taste in their mouth after the loss to Texas A&M that stole any College Football Playoff dreams away from LSU even with a monumental upset.

Make no mistake, Georgia is bigger, stronger, faster and just flat-out better than LSU. The Tigers are already pronounced dead in the water. If LSU embraces that mentality, this game might turn out better than we think.

My actual prediction? At the end of the day, Georgia wins this game comfortably. For those putting action on this game, take LSU to cover 17.5 points with plans on a backdoor cover. Georgia will be up by 24 in this game, but the Tigers get a late touchdown to cover.
