He's not wrong, with the Tigers putting the screws to one of the final 16 teams remaining in the NCAA Tournament as LSU moved one game away from its first College World Series appearance since 2017. The Tigers led the Wildcats 11-0 after 5 innings.
Tigers baseball is looking to become the second LSU program in the span of a few months to win a national championship based heavily on the strength of its transfer portal exploits. Skenes is widely expected to be a top pick in the upcoming MLB draft.
