LSU baseball has more than its share of stars and household names, but it was an unexpected hero coming to the rescue late in a win over Oregon State.

That'd be right fielder Brayden Jobert, who stepped to the plate in the bottom of the 8th and mashes a 2-0 pitch over the centerfield wall for what would prove to be the difference in a game that LSU stranded the bases loaded three separate times.

It was Jobert's lone hit of the night in four at-bats, and it was one of five home runs that accounted for all six of LSU's runs on the day. Jobert hit .301 with 10 home runs and 39 RBIs in his second season with LSU.

CF Dylan Crews, C Hayden Travinski, RF Josh Pearson and DH Cade Beloso also hit balls out of the yard with the win blowing out at Alex Box Stadium following a 3-hour weather delay.

Freshman Gavin Guidry slammed the door for the Tigers, who now get to rest and await the winner of Sam Houston State-Oregon State later in the evening. The Tigers will have two chances to earn the win that will land them the regional crown.
