LSU is no stranger to title-contending teams these days, and Wednesday morning was no exception as fans gathered in Baton Rouge to send off Tigers baseball to Omaha.

Check out some scenes from the event below.

It was a scene not unlike the one earlier this year when the Lady Tigers departed for the Final Four, a first for the program.

The Tigers arrived in Omaha Wednesday afternoon, where they'll prepare for a matchup with Tennessee on Saturday. The Tigers will visit Charles Schwab Stadium on Thursday and hold a practice from 3:10-4 p.m.

LSU is making its 19th total CWS trip, but its first since 2017. The Tigers made it to Omaha five times under head coach Paul Mainieri, but haven't won the championship series since 2009.

The Tigers are yet to lose a game in the NCAA Tournament, winning all three games at its regional against Tulane and Oregon State twice, then swept Kentucky in the Super Regional. All five games were played at Alex Box Stadium in Baton Rouge. Head coach Jay Johnson became just the 11th coach to lead multiple teams to the College World Series, doing so twice with Arizona before arriving in Baton Rouge. Mainieri is another of those coaches, also bringing Notre Dame to the CWS.

The CWS bracket will begin on Friday with the opposite regional. Those games will continue on Sunday, while the second round of LSU's half of the bracket will play again on Monday.
