Good news, LSU baseball fans, the 2023 season will be arriving 3 hours earlier than expected.
Due to a cold snap forecast for the Baton Rouge area heading into the weekend, the 6 p.m. start against Western Michigan at Alex Box Stadium will begin at 3 p.m., in order to avoid the brunt of the cold. The school announced the change Thursday morning.

The top-ranked Tigers will continue their series on schedule through the weekend, with Saturday's game scheduled to start at 1:30 p.m., and Sunday's at 12:30 p.m.
The temperature in Baton Rouge is expected to reach a high of 52 degrees throughout the day on Friday, but that will plunge into the low 30s with rain also possible. The forecast for the weekend is much more comfortable however, with a high of 59 degrees on Saturday, and temperatures expected to be back in the mid-to-high 60s by Sunday afternoon.
