So far in the 2023 season, the only thing that's really gotten the Tigers out of their rhythm has been weather.

Another weekend SEC series will be seeing significant changes, with the top-ranked Tigers now set to face off with No. 3 South Carolina in a Friday doubleheader, beginning at 11 a.m. (central). The second game will start approximately one hour following the completion of the first game.

The Thursday start will go off as scheduled. All games will be broadcast on affiliates of the LSU Sports Radio Network and can be watched on SEC Network+.

The change marks the second time this season the Tigers have had to turn a weekend into a double-header, but it's worked in their favor previously. LSU swept both games against Arkansas earlier this season after falling in the series opener.

LSU (25-4, 6-3 SEC) is currently atop the SEC West standings. South Carolina (24-5, 8-1 SEC) is second in the SEC East behind Vanderbilt, despite having a better conference record to this point. LSU is yet to lose a series in SEC play.

Editor's note: A previous version of this post listed an incorrect start time for Game 2 of the Friday doubleheader. It has been corrected above. We apologize for the error.
