LSU baseball got its hardware in Omaha, and now it's ready for a celebration back at the Box.
The Tigers will host an even to celebrate the program's 7th national title on Wednesday evening at Alex Box Stadium in Baton Rouge. Gates will open at 6:30 p.m., with the event kicking off at 7:30. There will be no parade, but it will conclude with fireworks.
Admission is free. Food and beverages, along with national championship apparel, will be available for purchase inside the stadium.
Free parking is available on a first come, first served basis in the Hall of Fame, Old Front Nine, Gourier South, Levee South and Hafield lots.
The LSU squad will be on-hand along with the trophy, with "several dignitaries" planned to speak, according to the announcement. Head coach Jay Johnson and multiple players will address the crowd, followed by the fireworks display.
In addition to live coverage on WWL, the event will be streamed on Facebook, YouTube and SEC Network+.
