With headlines swirling about Ed Orgeron, LSU's coaching future and seemingly everything else, it'd be easy to forget there's still football left to be played.

But that's not the case for the players on the field, with the Tigers arriving in Oxford with an eye on landing yet another unlikely upset against a ranked foe. They did it last week in a 49-42 victory over Florida, who entered the day as double-digit favorites.

The Rebels can only claim to be a 9-point favorite, but with much loftier long-term aspirations in the 2021 SEC race. They'll also be looking to end a shutout against Orgeron-coached LSU squads in what will be their final opportunity. Orgeron coached Ole Miss from 2005-'07, going 10-25 before being fired.

But the Tigers have taken all five games since Orgeron took over in Baton Rouge, a run that LSU announced this week will come to an end after the 2021 season.

OUT OF THE CORRAL

LSU didn't believe for a second Ole Miss quarterback Matt Corral would miss the game, and they were right. Stopping him is the bigger challenge. The Heisman candidate broke through in the second quarter after a missed 55-yard field goal attempt by Cade York to put the Rebels ahead.

Then Corral took it on himself, leading Ole Miss 80 yards on 9 plays and finishing it off on the ground to head into halftime with a 10-point lead after getting punched in the mouth.

END Q1: LSU 7, Ole Miss 0

TDP BACK AT IT

Did you think Ty Davis-Price's last two weeks were a mirage? Because he (and the Tigers running game) are dominating early on. LSU up 7-0 early on this TDP TD.
