LSU women's basketball title parade: See route, details for Tigers celebration

The LSU women are national champions, and they're ready to go on parade.

That march will take place on Wednesday, April 4 on the LSU campus, with the details released by the university this week. The parade will include all members of the title-winning squad, head coach Kim Mulkey and staff, the Bengal Brass Band, LSU Spirit Squad, former LSU players and other notable figures.

Here are the key details to know about the parade:

WHEN/WHERE

If weather cooperates, the march will begin at 6:30 p.m. outside the LSU School of Music (north side of campus on Dalrymple Drive). The parade will march along Dalrymple Drive, take a left on Field House Drive and then travel down North Stadium Drive and make its way down Victory Hill before arriving at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center, where a free-to-attend celebration will be held inside beginning at 7 p.m. (doors open at 6 p.m.)

If weather does not cooperate, the celebration inside the PMAC at 7 p.m. with no parade preceding it.

WHERE TO PARK

Free parking for attendees will be available in lots 101, 105, 107, 109, 110, 206, 401 and 404 (see locations in map above). Free ADA parking will also be available in lot 105 off Nicholson Drive. Parking is on a first come, first served basis. A shuttle service will pick up paradegoers at lot 105 and drop off bear the LSU SportShop.
