The LSU spring game doesn't quite resemble a regular football game, and neither will the field at Tiger Stadium this weekend.

The Tigers will unveil a new midfield logo, as well as having the endzone painted to resemble the stripes on the LSU helmets.

"The path" is overlayed in white and yellow lettering over an outline of Louisiana in purple. The words represent a new mantra for the program under head coach Brian Kelly, the school announced this week.

"The Path is the process any player goes through in Kelly’s program from the moment they are recruited until long after they leave the University with a degree and as a champion," read a release by LSU.

Miss the Tiger's eye? Don't worry, the traditional logo will return to midfield by the time LSU takes the field against Grambling State in their home opener on Sept. 9. The Tigers will kick off their season on the road against Florida State on Sept. 3 in a game played at Camping World Stadium in Orlando. It's a continuation of a series that began in the season opener last year at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.

The National L Club Spring Game will kick off at 1 p.m. Saturday and feature the Tigers offense vs the Tigers defense, a change from the 2022 setup, as well as special teams drills.
