LSU’s current leading receiver, freshman tight end Arik Gilbert is considering leaving the team, according to multiple reports.
According to the reports, Gilbert has been homesick and the LSU staff is hoping to convince him to stay.
With Terrace Marshall Jr. opting out, Gilbert is the Tigers leading receiver with 35 catches for 368 yards and two touchdowns.
The 6-foot-5, 249-pound Atlanta native was one of the Tigers top-ranked recruits of the 2020 class. Her was the Gatorade National Player of the Year. He led his high school team to a 2019 Georgia 7A state title.
