The LSU women are on their way to Dallas and hope to return with a title in hand, and they left with a royal sendoff.
Hundreds joined the Tigers outside the Pete Maravich Assembly Center on Tuesday as the team departed for the Final Four, its first since 2008.

Mulkey continued to show off her Griddy for the crowd, too, a dance invented by former LSU star Justin Jefferson.
The gathering was held outside of the PMAC, where so much of the transcendent, 31-2 seasons to this point has been held. LSU won all its games inside that building, with the lone regular season loss coming to juggernaut South Carolina on the road, and a loss to Tennessee in the SEC Tournament.
LSU hosted its first two games of the tournament in that building and rode a raucous home environment to blowout wins over Hawaii and Michigan, before outlasting Utah in the Greenville regional to punch a ticket to the Elite Eight. LSU stifled 9th-seeded Miami, and are now set for a showdown with No. 1 seed Virginia Tech. Top overall seed South Carolina will face off with 2nd-seeded Iowa on the other side of the bracket.
LSU's Final Four action will tip off at 6 p.m. Friday on ESPN.
