Let's start with the good news: Only one player, cornerback Paulson Adebo, was held out of Wednesday's outdoor practice at the Saints' facility in Metairie.
The not-so-good news: 10 other Saints players were also listed on the injury report, all of whom were limited. That group includes Alvin Kamara (rib) and Jameis Winston, whose injury in Week 1 was classified as a back issue.

Here's the full, initial Saints injury report heading into a showdown with the Bucs at the Caesars Superdome:
- DE Cam Jordan (hip), limited
- RB Alvin Kamara (rib), limited
- S Marcus Maye (ankle), limited
- WR Tre'Quan Smith (shoulder), limited
- RB Dwayne Washington (hamstring), limited
- QB Jameis Winston (back), limited
- OT Landon Young (hip), limited
- RB Mark Ingram (ankle), limited
- G Calvin Throckmorton (illness), limited
- CB Alontae Taylor (hip), limited
- CB Paulson Adebo (ankle), DNP
That group of limited players did include some positivity, though. The biggest piece? Michael Thomas was excluded from this list, the latest positive sign that he's fully back from the ankle injury that dogged him for the past two seasons. Tre'Quan Smith also made his first appearance at practice since a shoulder injury suffered in the preseason finale against the Chargers. He took the field in a red, non-contact jersey. Also returning for the first time since he was hurt during joint practices against the Packers was running back and key special teams contributor Dwayne Washington.
The third player who missed the opener with an injury was Landon Young, who returned to practice but is still dealing with a hip issue that's dogged him throughout camp.
On the Bucs side the picture is equally difficult. Ten players were listed on Tampa's initial injury report, six of whom did not participate. That group included QB Tom Brady (non-injury related), Russell Gage (hamstring), Chris Godwin (hamstring), Julio Jones (knee), CB Zyon McCollum (hamstring), OT Donovan Smith (elbow). WR Mike Evans (calf), RB Leonard Fournette (hamstring), WR Breshad Perriman (knee) and OT Tristan Wirfs (abdomen) were all limited.
