Alvin Kamara says he's ready to go, but are the New Orleans Saints?
If you ask anyone in the locker room, there's "no panic." The team just has to stop beating themselves.
Well, that's not entirely true. If you ask Cam Jordan, he'll say: "I think it’s always time to panic when you’re not putting a win in the win column."
In the end, he's saying the same thing. Whether you call it panic or urgency, the Saints' self-inflicted wounds are the biggest issue in a 1-3 start to the season. Their 11 turnovers leads the NFL. They were second in the NFL through Week 4 in penalties against (34), and first in penalty yardage against 319.
That's a recipe for losing football, no matter who's out there. The good news? There doesn't appear to be any clear, dominant team in the NFC South ... or even the NFC for that matter. There's only one 4-0 team (Eagles) and no one is better than 2-2 in the division. A win over the Seahawks wouldn't get the Saints quite back to .500, but it would keep them squarely on pace.
With all that in mind, listen to today's episode of the Inside Black & Gold podcast for an in-depth look into exactly that subject and more.
