The atmosphere in the Caesars Superdome is always a topic of discussion, particularly when division rivals come to town.
There are few players more familiar with what to expect than Bucs WR Chris Godwin. He was inactive for the Week 2 matchup in 2022, but put up an 8 catch, 140-yard performance during his last game in the dome. When asked this week he had a unique assessment, via ESPN's Jenna Laine.
"When you go into that stadium, you know what you're getting into," Godwin said.
"Those fans, they have that stadium rocking. There's no windows. It's like they go in an they lock the doors behind you, and it's just like you and your guys going to battle."
Fair. And this year's matchup will certainly be high energy, with both teams at 2-1 and with the potential to take over the division lead with a win. The loser will be 2-2 and in an early hole.
It will be the Saints' second home game of the season, with the team earning a 16-15 win over the Titans in Week 1. The Saints also earned a win up in Carolina, but suffered an agonizing collapse and letdown against the Packers in Week 3.
With Derek Carr navigating through a shoulder injury, it's likely that Jameis Winston will get another start against his former team. He was under center for Week 2 in the 2022 season, with the Bucs winning a close game 20-10.
