The Saints are a 10-point favorite in their Wild Card round matchup with the Chicago Bears but former New Orleans Saints running back and WWL analyst Deuce McAllister warned not the pay too attention to the line.

“Go out there and win the game,” he said.

McAllister said that “on paper” the second-seeded Saints are a better team than the No. 7-seed Bears.

“But the game is not played on paper though,” he said. “That’s the problem. You have to go out there on the field and prove it.  I think enough of those guys understand and know what’s at stake.”

The Saints earned a 26-23 overtime win against the Bears in Week 8 but McAllister said there’s not much New Orleans could take from that game as both teams are drastically different.

The Saints played that game without two of their top receivers, Michael Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders, and the Bears have made a quarterback switch.

McAllister said film from the Bears’ more recent games will be useful as the Saints prepare to host Chicago in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome Sunday at 3:40 p.m.
