Final Saints Week 3 injury report: 1 player ruled out, 5 questionable

The New Orleans Saints are in (knocks on wood) reasonably good health headed into the third week of the season, with only one player ruled out heading into a showdown with the Eagles at the Caesars Superdome.

That player is defensive tackle Khalen Saunders after missing all three days of practice. The veteran DT hasn't practiced since he suffered a calf injury on the final day of training camp. There are five Saints players listed as questionable, including Taysom Hill, though he got in limited practice each of the last two days as he works back from a chest injury suffered in the third quarter of the win over the Cowboys.

Landon Young did not practice all week but is questionable. If he's unable to go the Saints could potentially call up Shane Lemieux from the practice squad. There's a few bits of good news on the injury report as well, including D'Marco Jackson who returned to practice this week for the first time since a calf injury suffered late in camp. Rookie LT Taliese Fuaga was upgraded to a full participant on Friday and has no injury designation, indicating he'll be active despite the back issue he's dealt with in recent weeks. CB Marshon Lattimore was also upgraded to a full participant said he expects to play.

Safety Will Harris was listed as questionable after being added to the injury report with a shin issue on Thursday, though he spoke in the locker room on Friday and expressed confidence that he'd be on the field Sunday.

Here's how things shape up on the Eagles' side of the equation with A.J. Brown officially out for Week 3, as he indicated would be the case ahead of Monday Night Football in Week 2. Safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson is listed as questionable after missing the final two days of the week with a foot issue, though he told reporters "see you Sunday" when asked about the injury.
