Sean Payton saw it all unfold. A fan, who definitely wasn't a streaker, got on the field and ran in the direction of linebacker Demario Davis shortly after the Saints finished off a 30-9 victory over the Jets.

That's when things really got out of hand, with an officer working security at MetLife Stadium chasing him down and throwing a full-body tackle that brought both men down directly into Davis' knee and ankle.

Davis said after the game that he wasn't hurt, though he knew it could've been worse. Davis' coach wasn't nearly as understanding.

"There's a ton of players, that's who we're protecting right at that moment, right? And so you wouldn't shoot right into that group. ... He hits this guy and he goes down and they both go down into the knee and ankle of Demario Davis," Payton said. "It was one of the stupidest things I've ever seen."

The fan was led off the field in handcuffs and Davis was able to laugh about the situation after a much-needed win. Payton also clarified the terminology.

"No, he's not a streaker," the coach said. "He's just an idiot that got on the field.
