UPDATE, May 10: NFL unveils 2023 international schedule, Saints not included

━━━━

The NFL's schedule won't be officially announced until May 11, but it appears the Saints might be getting some more use out of their passports in 2023.

German newspaper Bild has reported that the Saints will be one of four teams to head to Frankfurt for a game in the NFL season. New Orleans will face the Patriots, while the Chiefs will face off with the Bears.

The first ever game in Germany was played in Munich in 2022, pitting the Bucs against the Seahawks. It's likely the international slate will be revealed prior to the official release, based on how the information was parceled out in previous seasons.

If true, it'd mean the Saints head overseas for a second consecutive season, facing the Vikings in London during Week 4 of the 2023 season. The Saints lost that game in heartbreaking fashion when a game-tying field goal attempt by Wil Lutz from 63 yards hit twice off the crossbar before bouncing out. Since the Patriots would be the home team in that matchup, the Saints would retain all eight of their games at the Caesars Superdome.

The Saints have played internationally three times previously, winning the first two (37-32 vs Chargers in 2008; 20-0 vs Dolphins in 2017).

Here is a list of the Saints' opponents for next season.
