Saints 2024 schedule release video hit everything, including 'literally Drew Brees'

The New Orleans Saints social media squad doesn't miss often, and they certainly didn't with their 2024 schedule release video.

The star-studded video begins with the premise that the Saints brass, portrayed by Bryan Batt and Elz Rachel are looking for one unpaid intern that handles all of the team social media accounts. Time for interviews.

The lineup? Well, that included a who's who of recognizable names and faces, including sports commentators Shannon Sharpe and Kay Adams, Saints GM Mickey Loomis, current starting QB Derek Carr and legend Drew Brees, NFL insider Ian Rapoport, MMA star and Louisiana native Dustin Poirier, RB Alvin Kamara and even now-retired weather icon Margaret Orr.

Some of the funniest bits came from the Saints themselves, with the interviewers pressing Brees on why his resume didn't show any experience since 2021.

"I'm literally Drew Brees," the former QB deadpanned into the microphone.

Carr had a solid line himself when asked why he thought he'd make a good fit in the role, responding: "I think the people on Twitter just get me," referencing the heavy criticism he often earns on the app.

But the self-awareness award goes to Loomis, who only said one word as he otherwise smacked gum and stared into the camera, a reference to his end of season press conference at the end of the 2023 campaign where he chewed gum and received heavy criticism.

In the end, the pair decided that AI could run their social media accounts, flashing up a graphic of the 2024 schedule that listed all of the opponents' names. Well, all but the Falcons, who were listed in Week 4 as "they not like us" and in Week 10 as "bless their hearts," a play on the Falcons' practice of putting the Saints up as "visitors" during games at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

The comedic spin on schedule releases have been a growing trend in recent years, with teams finding new and creative ways to make the announcement each year.
