The New Orleans Saints added beef to their defensive line late in the 2024 draft in the former of Northern Iowa's Khristian Boyd.
Boyd was the pick at No. 199 and the third defensive player in the Saints' class. He also represents another pick out of Northern Iowa, joining former teammate Trevor Penning in the locker room.
The Missouri native is an older prospect at 24, with his college career spanning back to 2018. Boyd started every game at DT his senior year, rolling up 43 tackles, 6 TFLs and 3.5 sacks. He'll roll into a defensive tackle rotation headlined by 2023 first-round selection Brian Bresee, along with veterans Khalen Saunders and Nathan Shepherd.
The Saints' draft board now includes six players, including Oregon State OT Taliese Fuaga at No. 14, Alabama CB Kool-Aid McKinstry at 41, South Carolina QB Spencer Rattler at 150, Pitt WR Bub Means at 169 and Texas linebacker Jaylan Ford at 175.
The Saints have one pick remaining at No. 239.
