The New Orleans Saints have revamped their offensive coaching staff, and as of Wednesday those moves are official.

The team announced six assistant coach hires on new OC Klint Kubiak's staff, several of which had been reported previously.

Here's how they break down:

- John Benton, OL coach
- Derrick Foster, RB coach
- Andrew Janocko, QB coach
- Keith Williams, WR coach
- Rick Dennison, senior offensive assistant
- DeNarius McGee, asst. WR coach

It's possible the Saints could add another piece or two, but at this point it appears they are happy with internal candidates. The Saints are retaining TE coach Clancy Barone, and it appears the same for OL line assistant Jahri Evans. Offensive assistant Jordan Traylor has also been promoted to assistant QB coach, according to reports.

"I think we’ve put together and outstanding staff," head coach Dennis Allen said this week in an interview with NFL Network, "with a little bit of a mixture of some older, veteran coaches that have been there, done that, with some younger, progressive mindset-type of guys and I think it’s going to be an excellent mixture for our organization.”

As far as the six hires, the lone name that had not been reported previously is McGee, who spent the past three seasons as an assistant coach for the Houston Texans.

This offseason the Saints moved on from eight offensive coaches, headlined by longtime OC Pete Carmichael in the most significant offensive overhaul since Sean Payton arrived in 2006. Kubiak arrives after spending a year with the 49ers as their passing game specialist, and had previously served in the OC role for the Vikings in 2021. He's expected to bring an offense that features influences from his father, Gary's scheme, as well as principles picked up alongside Kyle Shanahan in San Francisco, with his offensive disciples popular hires across the NFL landscape.
