The New Orleans Saints have a lot of work ahead in their 2025 offseason and the schedule has been officially set.
The NFL announced dates for OTAs (organized team activities) and minicamp for all 32 NFL teams.
Here's how that stacks up for the Saints:
- First day of offseason program: April 14
- OTA 1: May 20-22
- OTA 2: May 27 & 29-30
- OTA 3: June 2 & 4-5
- Mandatory minicamp: June 10-12
The Saints get a few perks this season afforded to teams that have first-year head coaches, one being that they can start their offseason program and OTA schedule earlier than teams with returning coaches. They're one of seven teams in that group, along with the Bears, Cowboys, Jaguars, Raiders, Patriots and Jets. That group of teams is also allowed to hold an extra veteran minicamp, something the Saints have opted not to do.
Select OTA practices and minicamp are open to the media, but the Saints typically don't open practices to fans until the full training camp.
New Orleans will also typically hold a rookie minicamp ahead of the OTA slate, which has not yet been scheduled. OTAs are voluntary, with some veterans opting not to attend one or more sessions.
The Saints will begin their offseason conditioning program this month ahead of the NFL draft, where they currently own nine picks. The full training camp, which head coach Kellen Moore confirmed will be held in Metairie, is expected to begin in late July. Official schedules have not been yet been announced. The Saints are also expected to attempt to schedule joint practices with a team on their preseason schedule.
