A lot of things have changed for the New Orleans Saints this season. But one thing that hasn't: The hometown fans still tune in with the best of them.
The Saints' preseason opener against the Ravens logged the highest local ratings of any of the opening preseason games, according to data from FOX. The Saints lost the game 17-14, but the ratings draw was likely spurred by the in-game debut of a QB battle between Jameis Winston and Taysom Hill.
New Orleans logged a 30.3 rating for the game, easily outpacing the next-highest market of Buffalo at 23.8. Kansas City was next at 23.5.
The Saints as a TV draw is nothing new, both locally and nationally. The Saints' opener against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last season was the highest-rated national TV game of the season and set a four-year ratings high on FOX.
