Alvin Kamara broke his own franchise record for touchdowns in a single season when he scored his fourth touchdown of the game in the third quarter of the Saints matchup with the Minnesota Vikings.
Kamara had 15 scores heading into Sunday’s game, three away from the single season record of 18 that he set in 2018.
He tied the record by halftime with touchdown runs of 40, 1, and 5 yards in the first and second quarter. He scored his fourth touchdown of the game with 4:38 to play in the third quarter when he capped a 10-play, 74-yard drive with a 6-yard touchdown run.
The four touchdowns are a single-game career-high for Kamara as well and moved him past Dalton Hilliard for third on the Saints' career rushing touchdown leaders list with 41 rushing touchdowns.
