The New Orleans Saints have a majority of their offensive staff to rebuild, and that process has now gotten underway.
The Saints are expected to hire Andrew Janocko as their quarterback coach, according to a report from ESPN. Janocko spent the 2023 season as the QBs coach for the Bears, but previously spent several years with the Vikings where he served as the QBs coach on Klint Kubiak's staff in 2021.
Kubiak is the 49ers pass game specialist and the hire can not be made official until after the Super Bowl. But the Saints haven't wasted any time rebuilding their staff, having already moved on from 8 coaches in OC Pete Carmichael, QB coach Ronald Curry, RB coach Joel Thomas, WR coach Kodi Burns, OL coach Doug Marrone, assistant OL coach Kevin Carberry, and offensive assistants Bob Bicknell and DJ Williams.
Two are staying in the division with Carberry taking over as the Bucs OL coach and Williams heading to the Falcons to be their QB coach. Carmichael will be rejoining Sean Payton with the Broncos, while Curry will be the Bills quarterbacks coach.
All that means that the Saints have a lot of holes to fill, and that will be the story of the next several weeks as that offense is built back from the studs for the first time since hiring Sean Payton in 2006.
