Jameis Winston has already dispelled much of the potential concern over his availability as he works back from a knee injury, but there was still more positivity this week.
The Saints quarterback shared video of one of his workouts ahead of training camp later this month, and he had shed the hefty knee brace he wore during OTAs and minicamp, a surgical scar clearly visible on his rehabbed left knee.

Winston suffered his major knee injury in the first half of a win over the Bucs on Oct. 31, 2021, and turned heads this offseason by getting back on the field for the first set of organized team activities. He was limited for some drills, but otherwise was on the field for all of the team's work when the media was present. Some news was made of his apparent limp as he worked in drills, though it lessened as the practices went on and doesn't appear to be a real concern.
The question now will be: Does Jameis return to the brace for the remainder of the offseason and 2022 season? Odds are that he will, and doing so won't indicate any kind of setback. Winston told the media he's following the plan set forth by team doctors, which includes wearing the brace throughout the season.
Veterans are scheduled to report to Saints training camp on July 26.
