Cops are looking for the driver who hit a child and fled the scene in Kenner Sunday evening.
"The Kenner Police Department is working a Hit and Run in which a child was struck," the agency posted. "The child is currently being treated at an area hospital for head injuries."
It happened in the 600 block of Vintage Drive at approximately 6:35pm.
"The vehicle pictured is believed to have struck the child and fled the scene."
Police say the vehicle is a newer model Jeep, white or silver with black rims.
"Anyone with information that can help locate this vehicle and the driver is urged to contact the Kenner Police Department at (504) 712-2222."
