Jefferson Parish President Cynthia Lee says officials have decided to combine the annual St. Patrick's parade with the postponed Argus parade that was canceled on Fat Tuesday.
"We're gonna be able to have Argus on Metairie Road with the St. Patrick's Day Parade on March 16th," Sheng told WWL's Tommy Tucker. "That will be a one time, historic event."
She called it really, really exciting news.
Argus is scheduled to roll at 10:00am before the St, Patrick's parade.
"It'll just be a real exciting event having Mardi Gras meet St. Patrick's," she said. "A unique, once in a lifetime event."
Sheng says they have invited the truck parade to roll on March 23rd with the Irish-Itallian parade.
